Nichols Environmental considers the safety and well-being of our
employees a core value of the company. Workplace hazard assessments
and controls are included in every project.
As a commitment to Health and Safety, Nichols Environmental undertook
an extensive safety evaluation to achieve a Certificate of Recognition
from Alberta Labour (Certificate No. 20050225-9807) in 2001. Nichols
Environmental staff continually upgrade their safety training,
which includes:
- TDG
- WHMIS
- First Aid
- Ground Disturbance (Level II)
- Defensive driving and
- Fire safety.
Key personnel working in the upstream oil and gas industry also
receive:
- H2S Alive
- Confined space entry and rescue and
- OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER
Nichols Environmental employees will work in a cooperative spirit
with all clients and subcontractors to ensure the safety of all
worksite personnel. All Nichols Environmental employees and subcontractors
must complete a hazard assessment prior to commencing any site
project work.
Our safety objective for every project is to complete the work
using safe procedures and behaviors, resulting in zero injuries
or near-miss incidents. Through our commitment of all staff and
management our incident rate is ZERO, with no lost time incidents
or injuries for the last five years.
